We arrived in Jordan yesterday morning after an early flight from Cairo. After a little confusion we sorted out our rental car, set the GPS and headed off. Took us only about 30 minutes to get to our hotel. We checked in, the staff here are fantastic at the Rumman Hotel, super friendly and helpful. After freshening up we went across to a new restaraunt only open for a week and it was fantastic. Jordan borders Egypt but the flavours here are quite unique.
After lunch we decided to wander around Madaba, the people here are fantastic. The grocery store guy gave us candy, the sweets store guy just started feeding us pastry and the lady Lindsey bought a shirt from told us to come back any time if we needed help with anything at all.
When we had our fill of wandering we hopped back into the car and drove to Mount Nebo, the place where Moses went to, to look over the promis land before he died. Apparently you can get some great views of the Dead Sea and Israel from up there but it was very dusty and the haze was terrible so the view was not great. We wandered around there for a little bit looked at some ancient tile mosaics that were discovered there and headed back to the hotel.
Today we headed to Wadi Mujib Nature Rserve. I have been very excited to visit this place as it sounded spectacular. It did not disappoint in the slightest. We put on our five finger shoes, swimsuits and life jackets and headed up the canyon. You walk up a stream for about 90 minutes through this incredible canyon. There were about 5 sections we had to use ropes to climb up. Eventually we reached an incredible waterfall. We got some great shots there and a free pedicure from the small fish in the stream. Last time we were in Thailand we paid to put our feet in a tank full of little fish that eat the dead skin off your feet. Well, this stream was packed with the same fish, so we stood still barefoot for a while letting them eat away, feels really strange. We headed back down to the car eventually and headed back to Madaba.
We had a little chicken shawrama from this hole in the wall place and freshened up back at the hotel. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine from Jordan before heading out for dinner.
Tomorrow we head to Petra, wonder # 6! We are both very excited for the rest of Jordan, so far it as been amazing!

You guys are awesome! I'm loving all the updates.
