It is the night before we leave, we are all packed and ready to go. Had our parents over for dinner and a good visit. We are super excited to leave. Our flight departs Calgary at 10am tomorrow. We fly first to Toronto where we hang out for a couple of hours. From Toronto we fly down to Lima where we have a several hour layover. To get to Cuzco we take a small plane that stops a couple of times before arriving at 5am on October 4th. So we have a long 19 hour journey to get to our destination but can't wait to get going!
When we arrive in Cuzco the first day will be for recovering from the long flight down as well as adjusting to the altitude. Cuzco is 11, 200ft above sea level and a lot of people feel pretty crappy when they first arrive. Hopefully drinking lots of cocoa tea and eating lots of chicken noodle soup will get us over that and we can start touring around the next day. I won't elaborate much more than that for now. Hopefully we will have an update and some pictures for you in a few days when we arrive.
